Kirk Pfeiffer is the founder of Uptown Acupuncture (UA). His goal is to provide a place San Diegans can get out of pain: Mental, Spiritual, and of course, Physical pain. Nothing gets us at UA higher than alleviating suffering. Everyone is locked in some way when they are in pain. We pick that lock with our needles. We use tiny needles that really should be called filaments, they are so thin we need a plastic guide tube to get it through the skin, else it would just bend. They do not hurt. When Kirk thinks about all the people out there who are still in pain and have not found relief, he realized that only by creating a place for them to go, will he be able to be of service. Hence, Uptown Acupuncture was born in 2004. Because Kirk works in 2 other clinics, treating primarily blue collar Hispanics who were injured on the job, he is only at Uptown AcupunctureMonday and Wednesday afternoons and evenings, staying as late as he need to see all his clients.. Because of his limited hours at UA, Kirk has carefully chosen associates with great talent. This insures that people can get the help they need.

Kirk Pfeiffer M.S. LAc. cSMA is owner and head acupuncturist at Uptown Acupuncture. Kirk received his HHP massage certification in 1999. He became a licensed acupuncturist in 2002. Kirk loves to work in conjunction with western doctors to provide lasting pain relief to their patients.Kirk can write comprehensive reports for MDs or insurance companies documenting functional improvements his clients are receiving, if needed.
