I’m pleased to introduce myself, and would like to take this opportunity to be of assistance to your clients. My acupuncture clinic can be one means by which your patients may continue to receive quality care as they near or end their PT treatments. I can also help prevent backsliding in patient progress during those long gaps while re-authorizations for physical therapy are pending.
I believe the expertise I’ve acquired in over 16 years of practicing acupuncture, as well as being certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture (and spending several sessions in past years assistant teaching in that program), and my training in physical medicine will enable me to work effectively with your clients.
I have a high respect for physical therapists. In the Sports Medicine Acupuncture certification program, we’re trained in some physical modalities such as postural assessment, and corrective exercises. I can continue to teach clients proper form, and work with their individual diagnosis, utilizing eastern techniques to be able to facilitate improvement, supporting your work with them.
I am skilled in dry needling techniques (which I know physical therapists in California are not allowed to perform). I can read a written MRI report with fluency, and modify my acupuncture treatments accordingly. For many years, I have also personally trained people in weightlifting.
I work like an orthopedist who uses acupuncture as his main modality, along with massage, cupping, stretching and kinesio taping. I feel my particular strengths lie in a unique ability to “read the body”: my visceral sensitivity to the pain areas of the myofascia, combined with interpersonal skills to be present, personable, and animated with the client. To listen to their own descriptions of discomfort, and explain my analysis and techniques clearly, often with the use of analogies, so the client can understand the mechanisms of bodily dysfunction and its treatments.
Acupuncture for pain relief is more relevant than ever. As you know, Americans increasingly spend time in a stationary position, often at computers. In addition, the current opiate epidemic, and government’s increased regulations, affect so many individuals adversely.
Successful treatment provides many benefits beyond pain and anxiety reduction, including improvements in posture, range of motion, digestive functioning, sleep disorders, and most of all, increased hope.
As a longtime medical professional, I am committed to the best in client care, and to establishing a great working relationship with your client. From my reputation and Yelp reviews, you can be assured, your clients will be grateful for this referral.
